Thanks to Christ’s death, you can be completely forgiven of all sin by a holy God. God will no longer hold that sin or sins against you because of the shed blood of His Son. This is why the Gospel is called “Good News”. Of course, you must obey the Gospel to receive the benefits of Christ’s death.
What greater benefit could there be than the forgiveness of one’s sins? Our God loved us enough to provide His Son to be the propitiation for OUR sins!! When He looks at the one who has accepted His Son as Savior and Lord, He sees one who is covered by the redeeming blood. He sees one who is guiltless. Imagine that!! You and I, sinners, can be sinless in God’s eyes. Eph. 1:4 says, “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love”. Did you see the word “blameless”? It’s the same as saying “guiltless”. It means we are justified in God’s sight (just-as-if) we never sinned. Think about it. No sin(s) on your record whatsoever! And you can thank the blood of Christ.
Praise God for providing a Savior who can make us holy in the sight of a holy God. I John 4:10 “here is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.? Is Jesus your propitiation?
